Being a dropper how to handle the biiiiig syllabus of JEE?

Greetings Friend!

Now without wasting your time, directly let's come to your question.

I would suggest you read this article and understand it fast. And make this a habit, start with this answer if you haven’t started yet.

Being a dropper isn’t your weakness or liability. It is a strength for you.

How????

Preparing for Mains January's attempt, you don’t have to worry about your board exams anymore.

You have experienced the real exam environment & you know well about the process that takes place in the exam.

You are aware of the mistakes that you made earlier.Take a note of them. This year you should be in a win-win situation & for that, these mistakes and consistent work towards your goal will help you out.

How do I complete such a big syllabus?

First of all the syllabus isn’t big. We make it feel big to us. Hacks (my language)for making the syllabus small:

1st one I have discussed in the starting of the answer.

Most of the chapters are linked. When you do revisions or are preparing the syllabus for any exam then study these linked chapters together.

Some of the chapters to be studied together include:

Practical organic chemistry& Qualitative analysis.

Electrostatics & Gravitation.

Trigonometric equations, Solutions of triangles.

Organic chemistry as a whole.

Chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, thermochemistry

Mechanics as a whole.

Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, etc.

Current electricity & diodes, logic gates, etc.

The benefit of this will be that if you have seen the 2018 paper there are questions asked by mixing concepts of these linked chapters.

While practicing from whichever material or book you use you must have marked questions that were good or had something different in them.

So, while revising practice from them and increase your level with every session you have with those problems.

With every session filter out those problems which earlier seemed to be difficult but were actually easy.(I used to make a different mark on the rest of the hard problems to differentiate them from the older ones.

Whenever you come across a question which challenged you then add it to that list.

As you are a dropper keep your spirits up and keep increasing your level. Don’t get demotivated if you aren’t able to solve a question.

Break up the syllabus as I said and make short goals and achieve them. Self-motivation and perseverance will do the rest of the work in completing the syllabus.

Keep the theory clear. Start from the basics and accordingly keep increasing the bar.

If you feel something challenging happening in your head while solving these filtered questions, then congratulate yourself, you are on the right track.
