The exam day hacks no one told you before

As the D-day comes closer we start increasing our preparation efficiency and time management skills. But still there are some hacks which if known then help a lot during the exams. And here we go...

  1. Rehearse the exact situation that is going to happen on D-day a day before so that you are prepared for almost every possibility for the next day.
  2. Have some fruits like apple just before going inside the examination hall. This will keep you fill throughout the exam and you won't feel hungry. Also fruits won't consume much energy for being digested and you won't feel dizzy during the exam.
  3. While rehearsing the situation for the next day also keep packing the things required for the exam like stationary, documents,ID cards etc.
  4. A day before the exam take a light meal and have a sound sleep of around 8 hours.Switch off mobile phones or any other disturbing elements which can hamper your sleep.
  5. If the exam is based on rote learning then studying at the eleventh may help but otherwise it should be avoided.
  6. Have water as much as you can when you get out from your place and then before getting inside the examination hall have a trip to the washroom.
  7. Just before the exam starts have some water and keep it in mouth for as long as you can while attempting the question paper. This will keep you hydrated for a longer time.
  8. It has been proved that staying hydrated during the exams increases mind's efficiency as the electric signals can flow faster in our nervous system. On the other hand , having too much of water before the exam can cost you a trip to the washroom which will eat up our time. So, make sure you are properly hydrated before the exam.
These were some of my cents which have been followed by many toppers who succeeded in various competitive exams. Feel free to add your experiences to this article in the comment section.

Goodluck for your exams !!
Expect the least prepare for the best.

Keep sleep OFF

Aloha Amigos! Feeling sleepy is something I encountered a lot during my JEE preparations :p. Here are some of the tried and tested foolproof hacks (as in my language) which will solve your problem: Develop a habit of reading and understanding things fast. This will help you a lot. Try to take most of the food in breakfast ,a light dinner( try avoiding much rice made stuffs in lunch),and have a very light dinner.(trust me!!! I didn’t eat anything made outside my home & my mumma took special care of my diet during my preparation time.Sometimes it was monotonous and fustrating but at the end it was all worth.) Take power naps (it is a short sleep taken during the working day in order to restore one’s mental alertness). These power naps are very helpful in improving health issues also like blood pressure, stress etc. Adding some science into it.You must have have experienced that sometimes when you get up then also you are not satisfied with it.Also it must have happened that y...

Making out maximum output of every hour in your day

Seems like you already have that spark of motivation in you to excel in JEE.Let me help you keep that spark alive. Following are some of the hacks(my language if you have read any of my previous blogs) that will definitely help you to bring out the best of you everyday. First of all don’t target any rank or marks, rather try to improve upon your capabilities everyday. Now science is a proof that those people who study late night have a higher IQ than others.Sharing my own experience, what I did for this was that whenever I was at home in the afternoon then I used to sleep for sometime and then at night I used to study extra time ,4 times of what I slept in the afternoon.(Ex-I slept 1 hour then i used to study till 4 am and then again wake up at 8:30.) Try to take naps at those times when you can’t do anything productive eg-while travelling like in my case I used to sleep a lot while traveling in metro. Everyone does hardwork but those who do consistent hardwork are able to ma...

Defeating the terror of Mathematics

Namaste! If you are also one of those who has the fear of Mathematics then you have come to the correct place. Directly coming to the question, I talked with some students who feared solving maths problems and found that the main cause of this terror is skipping the basics. Most of the students with whom I had a talk, were not clear with their basics. I remember I had a classmate who didn't even know how to divide numbers but was studying topics like HCF & LCM. It was for sure that he won't be able to score in the tests and the same did happen. The key to getting rid of this terror is to make the basics clear and then gradually proceed to the higher-level questions. Start with the basic level problems, study and understand the theory properly, move to the next topic and repeat this process. Just make sure you are following the order and not skipping anything. Following this method, you will soon build up confidence as you keep on increasing your level. Consistency i...
